Biography
Yulia Panina is a board-certified adult nurse practitioner at kalon Dermatology with a background that spans clinical dermatology, aesthetic medicine, and the hands-on application of advanced technology. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Hunter College and has been part of the New York medical community since 2004, building clinical experience across a range of practice settings before joining kalon's dermatology team.
Yulia completed clinical rotations with a focused emphasis on chronic skin conditions, where she developed the diagnostic skills and patient management protocols that define her medical dermatology practice. She evaluates and treats conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and hyperpigmentation, approaching chronic cases with the long view in mind.
Her aesthetic background includes two or more years of experience in plastic surgery settings, where she worked with laser technologies, radiofrequency devices, and ultrasound-based skin treatments. That hands-on experience with energy-based devices gives her a practical foundation for cosmetic consultations and treatments that many nurse practitioners don't have.
Yulia's philosophy, that healthy skin requires both medical expertise and aesthetic artistry, reflects the way she sees the relationship between the two sides of dermatology. A patient dealing with rosacea needs accurate diagnosis and the right treatment protocol. The same patient may also benefit from understanding how certain cosmetic treatments can reduce redness and improve skin texture over time.
